The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join YMCA Derbyshire.

YMCA Key College, part of YMCA Derbyshire is seeking an Administrator & Learner Wellbeing Assistant. In this hands‑on role, you’ll oversee all aspects of 16–19 DFE funded provision, including ILR accuracy, eligibility checks, funding compliance, High Needs processes, exams, placements, and bursaries. You’ll also lead the small but committed administrative and learner experience team, helping to build clear processes and high standards that keep our learners supported and our organisation audit‑ready.

Working Pattern: 25 hours per week

About you

  • Organised, approachable, and genuinely passionate about supporting learners’ wellbeing and success.
  • Ability to combine strong administrative skills with a compassionate, people-centred approach, ensuring learners feel supported, heard, and empowered throughout their journey.
  • Ability to act as a trusted first point of contact for learner support and recognise when additional wellbeing guidance or resources may be needed.
  • Confident managing administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records, and helping programmes run smoothly.
