This is an exciting opportunity for you to join YMCA Derbyshire.

YMCA Derbyshire is seeking a calm professional in challenging situations, and a positive role model. Someone who sees strengths, not just needs.

This is more than a housing role. You’ll be the steady, trusted presence for people living in supported accommodation — helping them move from simply having a place to stay, to building the confidence, skills and independence to truly live well in their own home. You’ll balance people-focused support with excellent housing practice, ensuring homes are safe, tenancies are well managed, and people are empowered to thrive.

Working Pattern: 35 hours per week including some evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

About you

• Someone who can build trusting, respectful relationships with people of different ages and backgrounds.
• Experience within a housing or support based role.
• An understanding of, and commitment towards the principles of safeguarding.
• The ability to communicate effectively with the people we support, with colleagues, and with professionals.
• Someone solution-focused, highly organised and able to manage competing priorities.
• A team player who can also work independently when needed.
