The role

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join YMCA Derbyshire.

YMCA Key College is seeking a Support Worker to join its team, you will be responsible for supporting learners who are accessing a life skills programme to a group 10 learners with SEMH needs ensuring that they can engage with learning effectively. Working within a team of 3 to 4 people, you’ll ensure that the young people receive the education, training, and wellbeing support the require to enable them to progress into further education, employment and transition into independent living.

Working Pattern: 18 hours per week

About you

  • Appropriate qualification in health and social care or a willingness to work towards these.
  • Hold a full driving licence, business insurance and have use of a car. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of educational legislation. 
  • Working knowledge of safeguarding and prevent.
