The role

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join YMCA Wirral as part of their Rough Sleeper Initiative outreach team.

Homelessness isn’t just the loss of a home—it is often the loss of safety, stability, wellbeing and hope. As a Complex Needs Practitioner, you will work directly with individuals sleeping rough across Wirral, providing proactive outreach support and acting as a key link to accommodation, services, and community resources. Based from their head office in Birkenhead, you will travel across the community to find, engage, and support those most in need.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week

About you

• A kind, empathetic, and person-centred approach.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
• A calm, resilient attitude when faced with challenging situations.
• Experience in homelessness, mental health, or substance use support (desirable but not essential—training provided).
