Since its beginnings in 2010, YMCA Sleep Easy has seen over 7,000 people sleep rough in order to raise over £1.5 million for local YMCA services that assist young people in rebuilding their lives.
YMCAs are encouraging supporters to make a lifetime of difference by participating in national YMCA Sleep Easy events taking place across England and Wales.
Participants from YMCAs across England and Wales will spend one night sleeping somewhere other than their bed to raise crucial funds to help address the root causes of youth homelessness.

We saw participants across England and Wales grab a sleeping bag, build cardboard forts and go somewhere other than their bed to sleep, such as their garden, living room, hallway, or another safe location.
The challenge event asks you to spend one night sleeping somewhere other than your bed in order to raise critical funds to assist us in addressing the root causes of youth homelessness.
You can take part at home or join others at a Sleep Easy event local to you. Please register your interest below for free and a member of the team will be in touch with details of your nearest event.
You can register as an individual, a family, a school or an organisation.
We will contact you with more information about the next YMCA Sleep Easy event once you have registered your interest.
If a local YMCA near you is participating in the event, we will forward your information to them so they can contact you.
YMCA is the largest voluntary sector provider of safe, supported housing for young people in England and Wales.
At YMCA, our approach is always to support the whole person. We provide safe, affordable places to live that feel like home and focus on community spirit and togetherness. We provide 10,432 beds across distinct types of housing to cater for the different levels of support our 20,671 residents need. This ranges from 319 emergency beds serving 3,591 individuals annually, and 7,211 hostel beds for young people and vulnerable adults.
YMCA is more than somewhere to live. Through one-to-one sessions with key workers, group programmes and courses, residents learn the tools and skills to live independently and build towards a promising future.
