The role

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join YMCA Wirral.

YMCA Wirral operates a Controlled Drinking Environment (CDE) through a contract with Wirral Borough Council, providing a safe, supervised and dignified space for individuals struggling with alcohol dependency. This role supports people experiencing homelessness and substance misuse, helping them build stability, wellbeing, and hope.

Working Pattern: 22.5 hours per week

About you

• Compassion, empathy, and a supportive approach.
• Strong communication skills.
• Calm and measured responses in challenging situations.
• Personal or professional experience with homelessness, substance misuse or related issues (desirable but not essential; full training provided).
