This is an exciting opportunity for you to join YMCA East Surrey.

YMCA East Surrey is recruiting for a Hub Learning Support Assistant to join their CYP – Disability Services team. You will be responsible for assisting the Hub Disability Leader in delivering high quality care, stimulating and engaging learning opportunities to Learners attending their Alternative Provision; inspiring our learners by supporting them to achieve their learning outcomes which contribute to personal and social development; assisting in identifying areas of development and recording evidence for learning progression with recognition of outcomes achieved

Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week (39 weeks yearly)

About you

• Relevant training in positive behaviour management, positive touch and epilepsy; Working Together to Safeguard Children, Safeguarding Adults and Food Hygiene training or a willingness to complete this.
• Experience of working in an educational, or social care setting; living or working experience with children or adults with disabilities and additional needs; positively managing children’s behaviour in various situations; working in a high-pressured environment; of being a key person including maintaining children’s records and of working with outcome base assessment tools.
