The role

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join YMCA Wirral.

YMCA Wirral is seeking Night Welfare Officer who is responsible for overseeing care delivery across their sites in central Birkenhead, maintaining a safe and trauma-informed environment, and supporting some of the community’s most vulnerable people through crisis and transition. The role ensures residents, staff, volunteers and visitors are safe and happy in all YMCA Wirral environments during the late hours of the evening through to morning. 

Working Pattern: 38.5 hours per week

About you

  • You’ll have deep empathy for people experiencing hardship.
  • A person who remains calm, compassionate, and resourceful under pressure.
  • Someone with experience in health, homelessness, criminal justice or social care or other relevant experience.
  • A team player with strong communication skills and basic IT knowledge.
  • Someone prepared to work weekends and unsociable hours.
