YMCA National Conference

Now’s Our Chance 

We are thrilled to be returning to the beautiful East Midlands Conference Centre, located on the campus of the University of Nottingham, on 4-5 July 2024.

Now’s our chance to call on the next government to put young people and communities at the heart of their vision and deliver real change. At YMCA, we want everyone to have a fair chance to discover who they are and what they can become.

YMCA’s National Conference is a great opportunity for people to come together from across the Federation to meet colleagues, share and learn from each other, while at the same time forming connections and having fun.

As we welcome back our staple plenary and workshop sessions, the 2024 National Conference will also see a few changes, including replacing the traditional conference dinner with a themed social evening.

National Conference 2024

The conference programme is designed to offer a variety of plenary sessions and workshops covering a wide range of interests to all those involved with YMCA.

The conference programme will be relevant for:

  • Chairs and Trustees
  • Chief Executives
  • YMCA Senior Managers
  • YMCA Staff and Volunteers
  • Youth Ambassadors – current and prospective

The conference will begin at 11.00 am on Thursday, 4 July (registration opens at 10.00 am) and will finish at 3.30 pm on Friday, 5 July.

The Conference will begin with an address from YMCA National General Secretary Denise Hatton. Followed by workshops and various plenary sessions. You will hear from sector leaders including Mark Gifford – Chief Executive of National Citizen Service, Ben Page – Chief Executive of Ipsos MORI, and motivational speaker, Reverend Richard Coles.

International session – We are thrilled that World YMCA President, Soheila Hayek will be sharing her insights on YMCA from a global prospective.

Introducing: Fun at the Fair, this year’s conference social evening offering excellent networking opportunities over traditional funfair games, bingo, and a BBQ dinner.

A Full Delegate place is available for £199. When you book four Full Delegate places the fifth place is free. Offer is available until 2 June. New this year, conference accommodation will be at the Orchard Hotel.

We have several conference packages to best suit the needs of your YMCA. This includes Conference Only- no accommodation, Day Delegate Rate and Additional Social Evening Tickets. These can be purchased through the on-line registration platform.
